Part Eighteen

Lydia sighed, "It's nice and all that you all had a good laugh, but I'm still not @#$%#$# sure what to do right now."

Everyone turned to look at the blonde Wererat as she continued to speak, "I don't #@$#$# want to go back to the clan. But, just where will I and my friends go?"

Raphiel frowned, he hated seeing Lydia so depressed, "Well, you can always come and live with me if you want?"

Lydia blinked as she looked at the Werecheetah, "Huh? You mean that?"

Raphiel nodded, "Yeah, you can stay with me until you can get back on your feet."

"Thanks."

Moshia frowned, "Like, what about me, Romes and his girl?"

Penny shrugged as she finished eating what was on her plate, "I don't see why you three can't stay with me."

Akane blinked, "Really?"

Penny nodded, "Yeah. I can help you three find a place of your own and help you get on your own two feet."

"Wow! Like, thank you."

Penny waved it off, "Don't worry about it."

Ace blinked, "Yo, dat's really nice of you girlie."

"Well, you know. Besides, I have another reason as well."

Gina muttered, "I thought so."

"I figured they can help watch Charlotte when I'm not home."

Charlotte had a huge smile on her face, "YAY! More friends!"

Everyone chuckled at the Harpie's antics and went back to eating.

After a while Mousse had a thought come to him, "You know what? I kind of wish that the Phoenix people were as nice as Charlotte there."

Ranma, Ryoga, Akane, and Shampoo all nodded enthusiastically.

Ryan blinked, "Phoenix people?"

Ranma shrugged, "They look a lot like Charlotte, just that her claws are different. The biggest difference is that they have low tolerance for people without wings, or landlings as they call us." Ranma then shook his head, "I bet they have less now."

Ryoga rolled his eyes, "Well, you did kill their God-king you know."

"True, but who threw that ten ton boulder between us?"

"Yeah, but you were the one who hit him in the head with it."

Mousse chuckled, "Yeah, Saffron's powerful, fast, can hit hard, but he can't take a mere ten tons to the face."

The NWC chuckled at that, while the rest just blinked at that, though Mumsey and Julia had to respect people, who weren't raised on Jade, that could withstand forces like that.

Theo hummed, "Yesterday someone mentioned something about Jusenkyo curses, just what are those?"

Cologne spoke up, "I believe I have the most expirence with them, so I'll speak. Jusenkyo curses are a water-based curse. You see, in China, near my village, there is a training ground called Jusenkyo. There are over one hundred pools there and each one has a bamboo pole sticking out of it. Each pool has a tragic story as an animal, creature, spirit or person fell into a pool and drowned. Now everytime someone comes in contact with water from a spring which already had something drown in it, they change into that form whenever they get hit with cold water, and back when hit with warm water. Ranma here turns into a girl when

splashed with cold water. Genma turns into a Panda, Shampoo turns into a cat, though that may have been neutralized with her turning into a Werecheetah, I'm not too sure. Mousse turns into a duck and there is a person by the name of Pantyhose Taro who turns into a Yeti riding Bull carrying Crane and Eel. He later went back to Jusenkyo and dunked some water from the Spring of the Drowned Ocotpus to his back, which gave him tenticles and the ability to shoot ink from his fingers." Cologne hummed, "Oh, yes, I nearly forgot, there is a young woman by the name of Rouge that was dunked into the Spring of the Drowned Ashura, now that is a nasty spring."

Theo nodded, "Can these curses be cured?"

"Normally? No. Jusenkyo decides when a person can get cured. Jusenkyo has a semi-sentinence that allows it to choose who gets cursed and who doesn't. If Jusenkyo doesn't want you near it, then you won't even be able to get to the pools."

Theo nodded, "I see."

Britanny blinked as she listened to that conversation, "How does someone get the name Pantyhose Taro?"

Nodoka hummed, "That seems like something that Happosai would do."

"Is so, old pervert name monster boy after pantyhose. Monster boy dislike name very much, gets very angry when people call him that."

Gar shook his head, "I swear, it seems like whatever magic that didn't go to Jade during the Great Exodus you guys have expirenced.

Nabiki shrugged, "Could be bro."

Thropan hummed, "How many people know about the magic that you've expirenced? And is there anymore on Earth?"

Kasumi blinked, "Well, the neighbors know, but they tend to ignore what goes on around them. There's a bunch of other magic out there in other places."

Konastu scratched his head, "Kasumi-Sama, do you mean those girls in short skirts in Juuban? My they are positively scandulous."

Carla sweat-dropped, "By any chance, are you a guy or a girl?"

"Guy."

"Okay, but you seem to have feminine qualities, why is that?"

"Sugah, he was raised as a femine girl. He's also skilled as a Kunouchi."

Luan and Carla giggled at that oxymoron while Tirga blinked, "A male female Ninja?" He then scratched his head, "Um, that didn't sound right I think."

Everyone had a laugh at that. After calming down a bit, everyone went back to eating for a while until a thought came to Julia, "Say, you all chuckled at the thought of being hit by a ten ton boulder."

Ranma nodded, "Yeah, so? Ryoga tossed that ten ton boulder between me and Saffron from fifty yards away I think."

"I thought it was sixty."

"Shampoo thought forty."

Julia shook her head, "Anyway. I wanted to know, among you fighters, just why and how you trained."

Ranma and Ryoga spoke at the same time, "Everywhere and anywhere on Earth, for over ten years."

Shampoo shrugged, "In village at home."

"I spent ten years by the sea training against the hard crashing waves."

"At home and in the surrounding villages in China."

Akane frowned, "The man that helped bring me into this world trained me for a bit, but after mama died, he stopped training me, so I'm mostly self-taught."

Kodachi hummed, "My mother trained me in the basics of gymnastics while the school I attend allowed me to train in rythmic gymnastics."

"My step-mother and step-sisters trained me in Ninjitsu."

"I'm three hundred years old." Cologne then smirked as everyone turned to look at her, "Hey, she did ask didn't she?"

Julia and Mumsey nodded, the Giant woman spoke up next, "But just why?"

Ranma shrugged, "To be the best of the best."

"I trained because I kept getting lost and people picked on me. Plus it allowed me to survive on my own."

"I trained by the sea to get revenge on Ranma."

"Shampoo train for same reason as Ranma, to be best of best."

"I trained because of my bad eyes and everyone picked on me. Plus I wanted to show the elders that men could fight as well as women, since the Amazon nation is a female-dominated society."

Colonge shook her head, "Well, you are better than most. But don't let that praise go to your head duck boy."

"I trained because my family made me."

"I trained to be the heir to my family's art."

Kodachi shrugged, "I had nothing better to do."

Julia nodded, "I was just curious is all."

Onoli scratched his chin in thought as he looked at Sheila, "You'll be needing maternity leave when you get back. Do you need anything else?"

Sheila frowned in thought, "Well, a bigger place really. I mean, I am having Ranma move in with me, and Nodoka too."

Onoli nodded, "I'll put word in to the Main Guard to let them know."

Romeo patted his stomach as he prepared to go and get more food, "This is really good." Everyone agreed at that.

Awhile later after everyone got done eating, the large group was just sitting at the table relaxing a bit. Cologne decided to make an announcement to the group.

"Unfortunately, myself, Shampoo and Mousse will have to head back to the villiage soon."

Ryoga blinked, he was blushing a bit from all the attention that Brianna was giving him, with her hugging his arm similar to what Shampoo had done to Ranma before. "Why is that so unfortunate?"

Cologne rolled her eyes. "Simple fool. We won't be able to be at the weddings."

She shook her head and looked at Ranma, then Ryoga. "It was truly a pleasure teaching the two of you."

Ranma smirked and placed an arm around Sheila's shoulders. "Heh, bout the only thing I regret for not marrying Shampoo is the fact that you aren't going to be family." He looked at Shampoo. "No offense Shampoo."

Shampoo huffed, but didn't hold it against him. "Shampoo happy and sad that she going home. Happy to be back home and off Japan, but sad that Ranma not coming with her."

Ukyou hummed. "I could possibly make it to the weddings, depends on when they are and how things are going for me."

The others from Nerima nodded.

Genn looked at Seance, she then leaned up and whispered into his ear. Seance looked at Genn and then his eyes rolled up and he passed out. "SEANCE!"

Julia looked at Genn. "Just what did you do?"

Genn smiled a bit sheepishly. "I asked him if we could get married. I'm

surprised that he passed out."

Everyone just shook their heads at the Raksasha. Mousse then smirked. "You shouldn't just ask someone to marry you out of the blue like that. The girls, save Akane, kept doing that to Ranma and he always kept refusing."

Ranma sighed. "You think I was ready to get married. I hardly knew how to deal with people."

Nodoka sighed. "I still regret I let him do that to you."

"Hey, it's okay mom, not your fault."

Sheila wasn't really paying attention, she was just cuddling up to Ranma. One would say that she was delirously happy. That person would be correct.

Gar sighed. "Hoo boy, are the people back home going to love this."

Carla and Luan, sitting on either side of Gar, looked at him. The blue haired ninja blinked. "It's not that bad is it?

"Well, no."

The brown haired ninja pouted a bit. "What's wrong then?"

Gar sighed. "Nothing really. I can't believe it."

Thropan looked at Gar. "You're not going to be leaving them on a lurch are ya man?"

Gar looked up. "What? No! This is just unusual. I'm used to fighting crimianls, monsters, other fighters, weirdness like this is something I don't really know how to deal with."

Nabiki rolled her eyes. "Better get used to it bro. Ranma here is a trouble magnet, and weird situations pop up around him all the time."

Britanny looked at her. "Prove it. I know he said he has to deal with weirdos all the time, but name one weird situation."

Ranma scowled. "The first person to mention that time I lost my memory is going to be put into a pretzel."

Everyone nodded. Ryoga hummed. "Well, there was the magic Koi rod, I keep trying to forget that incident."

Everyone who had been involved sighed.

Kodachi blinked. "Remember when you got ran over by those stampeding elephants Ranma?"

"Ugh. Don't remind me."

Akane smirked. "What about the time you were reduced in age because of those mushrooms."

"Shampoo think time travel was weirdest."

"What about..."

Gina held up her hands. "Okay, okay, we heard enough."

Theo shook his head. "You know, this group would fit in perfectly in Atlanta."

Tirga shook his head. "Or Jade."

Penny looked at Ace, then at Charlotte. "Unfortunately, Kevin, Charlotte and myself are going to be heading home soon. If anyone wants a ride to Atlanta, let us know."

Strype shook his head. "Don't worry Penny, most of us will be teleported back to Atlanta."

Ryan stretched a bit. "So, just when are the weddings?"

Mumsey hummed. "A week sound good?"

Ranma and several others grimaced. "Maybe two weeks. Give us all some time to adjust."

Onoli nodded. "That would probably be best. This type of situation will take a bit to explain to the Elders."

Konastu looked at him. "Elders?"

"The Elders of the Retreat make the laws, among other things, for those of us who live in the Retreat."

The ninja nodded. "Okay."

Julia rubbed her forehead. "I just thought of something, we have this wedding on Earth, where will it be held?"

Brianna blinked. "Remember the church where Britanny and Strype got married? They've expanded it two months ago. It's large enough for everyone to have a wedding with all our friends."

Julia nodded. "That'll work."

With a click of the latch of her suitcase Nabiki Ten-, er Silvear finished packing up the last of any material possessions she deemed worth taking.

With her skills of shrewd business, and her connections she had gotten the Dojo and the Saotome home sold within six hours after breakfast. They had already emptied the Saotome home of Nodoka and Ranma's family heirlooms, and Kodachi had already gathered her things. The last task was emptying the Dojo.

Hefting her suitcase Nabiki exited her room and walked down the stairs to deposit the suitcase by the pile of things leaving the house. Because it would be too much of a strain on Dr. Diggers or Seance to try and teleport so many people and luggage, Ace had been asked to transport the luggage on his plane.

Nabiki turned her head as Akane came down the stairs with her own travel bag and placed it near the pile.

"That's all of my things Nabiki."

"Mine too, ya'know its kinda weird. We have some crappy memories of this place, and yet it stills hurts to go."

"Well, this was home."

Nabiki nodded to her sister's logic and wrapped an arm around her shoulder, both staring at the empty expanse of the Tendo household. Yes this was home, their home since infancy, and even if their were not-so pleasant memories it was home.

"I'm actually going to miss this place," Akane mumured as she held her sister.

"Me too sis, me too."

In the Dojo, Ranma finished boxing up the last of the stuff from the attic, standing up he looked over the training halll in which he spent the last 2 years polishing his art.

"Funny Sheila, a lot of my troubles started here and yet I'm gonna miss it. It was the first home I had since Pops took me on the road."

Sheila walked up behind Ranma, wrapping her arms around his abdomen, "Memories of places we call home, be them good or ill can make one fell that way I guess."

"Yeah, but in anycase I'll be glad to put it behind me." He took her hand into his, "And start our new life together."

Sheila purred in agreement.

Gar shook his head as he helped get Nabiki packed up. "So, sis, you're coming to Jade, and I have to warn you, it's a lot harder to live there than here."

Nabiki smirked. "It's alright. I'll adjust."

Gar nodded and hefted a couple of suitcases. "So, this is it huh?"

"Yep."

"Okay, let's go."

"Theo, what's wrong?"

"Nothing Julia, I have to take care of an erand. I'll be right back."

Julia nodded and blinked when he went over to Romeo and the two disappeared. "I wonder what they're doing?"

"So, like, Romes, myself and his girl can live in Atlanta with you and you won't, you know, kill us?"

Julia rolled her eyes at Moisha. "Yes. As long as you don't cause problems and try to make a living, then you can stay at the mansion for a while." Moisha nodded.

Kasumi sighed as she finished packing up. "It sure will be different, not living here I mean."

Tirga smiled a bit. "Don't worry, I'll help you adjust."

Kasumi smiled. "Thank you."

********

Seance looked at Britannyy. "You sure Britanny? You and Strype want to go home?"

The Werecheetah nodded. "Yeah."

Seance shrugged and cast a dimention door, allowing Britanny and Strype through the portal.

Turning to Genn he spoke. "So, where's Brianna?"

The Raksasha smiled. "She already went home."

"Light Gate?"

"Yep, and she took that boy with the bandanna with her."

Later that day, most everyone showed up to go. Julia looked at Theo. "So, what did you and Romeo do?"

Theo cleared his throat. "Well, I cleared things up with the Wererat clan."

Mumsey looked at him. "How'd you do that?"

Theo smirked. "Simple 'mother-dearest'. I used a disguise spell on myself to let the Wererat clan know of a few things and well, they won't be a problem anymore."

Ranma looked around. "Say, where's Gina, Ryan and Thropan?"

Seance spoke up. "I already sent them to Atlanta with Britanny and Strype. Brianna went ahead."

Ranma nodded. "Okay."

Cologne cleared her throat. "Shampoo and Mousse are already on their way to the docks. I must be on my way as well." She turned to Ranma.

"Maybe we'll see each other again Ranma." With those parting words, she left.

Nodoka looked at Ukyo. "Sorry that things didn't turn out quite like you wanted."

Ukyo shook her head. "I know."

Sheila shook her head. "Let's get going."

Everyone nodded.

A.N. Whoo! That's a LONG one eh? I'm not writing a sequal to this. This is the end of New Tomboy.

Though if someone WANTS to write a sequal... Go right ahead.

That's one project down, now to figure something out for Faking It and Smoke and Wind.
