(A.N) In my last story I did borrow some of the park idea from, “A Second Chance.” This one is set when the kids are fighting Machinedramon in season one, it’s between episodes, what we didn’t see happen.


Hope

‘Man that was scary after Machinedramon blew up the building, I thought I was going to go splat when I landed. When I woke up I saw a pair of green eyes looking back at me.’ “Waaah!!”
“TK, calm down it’s me Patamon.”
“Oh, sorry, but you’d be pretty scared too if you woke up to a pair of eyes!”
“Jees, sorry.”
“It’s ok, by the way what happened.”
“Well after Machinedramon blew up the building, we fell here and Kari, Gatomon, Sora, Biyomon, Tai, Agumon, Izzy and Tentomon fell everywhere else.”
“Hmm.”
“Hey TK do you think we should go and look for them?”
“Yeah, maybe we can find someone before Machinedramon finds us.”
‘We must’ve searched for hours, of course I don’t know, my watch was broken in the fall. But then Patamon heard something.’
“I think I hear either Gatomon or Biyomon.”
“Well let’s go see.”
‘We ran down the tunnel and I almost fell into the sewer, but Patamon saved me.’ “Thanks.”
“Yeah, hey look it’s Gatomon.”
“Kari, c’mon stop shaking, you’re scaring me, wake up, please.”
“Gatomon!”
“TK?”
“What’s up?”
“Kari’s getting worse, she feels like she’s on fire.”
“Ok, I’ve got some blankets, lets cover her up like when she’s in bed.”
‘I know I really didn’t know what to do, but I put Kari under the blankets that I had in my backpack, and used my backpack as a pillow for her head.’
“Say Patamon.”
“Yeah?”
“I need you to go and see if you can find either Tai, Izzy, or Sora.”
“But TK.”
“Don’t argue, Kari’s sick, and she needs someone who knows how take of her.”
“Ok.”
“Don’t worry, Patamon, we’ll be fine, just find someone, please?”
“Sure.”
‘Patamon took off, and that left me, Gatomon, and Kari alone. I checked her forehead, she really did feel like she was on fire.’ “At least the water’s clean.” ‘So I took my hat and dipped it into the water, putting it on her head, she sighed, I think that means that she was a little bit releaved.’
“So TK, do you think that Patamon found someone yet?”
“Not really, but if he did, it sure is taking a long time for them to get back.”
“Do you think he ran into Machinedramon?”
“Not really.”
“I hope so.”
“You like him.”
“Only as a friend, but he’s the first one to talk to me as a friend other than Kari.”
“Yeah.”
“TK, don’t you think that you should keep your hat off, you might get sick too.”
“No, I’ll be fine.”
“OK.”
‘We just sat there for a long time looking at Kari, hoping that she would wake up, she stopped shivering after a while, but she was still hot.’
“Hey TK, how long do humans sleep when they’re sick?”
“I’m not sure Gatomon, but anywhere between eight hours and eight years, give or take a minute or so.”
“Wow, than considering how high her fever is, we better be ready for an even longer stay.”
“I wish the older kids were here, they would know what to do.”
“I’m sure you’ll think of something TK.”
‘Then Kari woke up, and shortly after that, Patamon brought Sora and Biyomon back and we went out and tried to find the others.
